Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "The Magic Flute"

Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2:00pm

The Departments of Music and Theater/Dance co-present a whimsical staging of the opera “The Magic Flute" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with puppets of all shapes and sizes, with singers from UCSB's Opera Theatre Program and dancers from the Department of Theater/Dance performing this charming opera in a new and abridged English version, with chamber music accompaniment. Performances are at Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall, with Stage and Music Direction by Dr. Isabel Bayrakdarian, and Puppets and Choreography by Christina McCarthy.

Made possible by the generous support of the Carl Zytowski Fund for Opera & the Jonathan Pevsner Performance Fund for Voice.
