The Womxn’s Ensemble Theater Troupe, a troupe made up of womxn who put on The Vagina Monologues every year, thrives on the opportunity to create a safe and inclusive space for womxn to share the powerful and important stories that are relatable for many students on campus. Many womxn, cast members and audience members, have never felt comfortable exploring such topics until The Vagina Monologues show promoted such a dialogue.
In previous years we’ve included a student written portion into our show called “Herstories”; we are eager and excited for another dynamic show such as last year. The process of reading and performing monologues from a diverse collection of womxn is truly inspiring; our cast members are humbled each year to be a part of a revolutionary and historic event. While doing so, they are becoming a part of an inclusive group of womxn/family that encompasses what The Vagina Monologues is all about. This year, we hope to keep providing all types of womxn with a safe space, the opportunity to grow, a place of comfort, and the importance of feminism. We also hope that WETT will provide a spark of comfort for those who have ever felt alone in dealing with any of the topics this show brings to light.
