Salman is a third-year biology major. As a student in the College of Creative Studies, he is currently conducting research within the Neuroscience Research Institute, focusing on understanding the cellular dynamics of the protein tau in relation to neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's. He is currently investigating how tau interacts with dense aggregations of proteins known as Stress granules by using CRISPRko screening
