Spring Awakening

Saturday, May 18 at 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Spring Awakening is a contemporary rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and book/lyrics by Stephen Sater. Although the show takes place in late 19th-century Germany, it could not be more relatable to our progressive university audience, dealing with themes including sexuality, agency, reproductive rights, and so much more. We live in a time where children’s rights are been called into question increasingly frequently, whether it’s the voting age, drinking age, or age of consent. Be prepared to look at this very issue in the context of another time, while jamming out to songs that can only be described as infectious. We look forward to continuing the dialogue with what promises to be two hours of pure entertainment.
