Mentored undergraduate research (UR) is one of the most significant learning experiences for many students in college. However, UR nationally is concentrated in STEM fields, and at many institutions UR is the purview of relatively privileged students. Scholars recently have analyzed effective and inclusive mentoring practices in UR. In this interactive session, we will explore the implications of some of that research for the UR mentoring that you already do – or that you would like to do.
