Instructional Development Pedagogy Workshop for New and Nearly-New Faculty

Friday, November 8 at 8:15am to 12:30pm

Learn about research-based strategies to make your teaching more enjoyable, efficient, and effective. The workshop will focus on four themes that enhance teaching as new and nearly new faculty work with students in our minority-serving institution: 1) describing learning in your discipline; 2) incorporating active learning strategies; 3) learning more about UCSB and our student learners; and 4) building knowledge with students.

The workshop, intended for new and nearly-new faculty members, will be highly interactive. Lunch will be provided, too! New and nearly new faculty also can receive support for participating in this workshop and three additional CITRAL or ID seminars or workshops.
