“Literary (Dys)functions”, the 22nd annual Colloquium on Mexican Literature, is an invitation to explore the successes and failures in a composition, either in literature, in music, in dance, photography, or in cinema or in the mixture of these genres, in the spaces in which they’re presented, and even in the social movements and situations surrounding them.
It will take place on Thursday November 8th in the Multicultural Center Lounge; will continue on Friday November 9th in McCune Conference Room and IHC Seminar Room, with a special presentation by contemporary performer Lukas Avendaño in the Ballet Studio; to close on Saturday the 10th in Alhemaca Theatre (Downtown).
There will be a special memorial in honor of professor Giorgio Perissinotto. Participants include renowned writers as Mario Bellatin and David Huerta.
During the three days we have ample attendance by the participants, professors, students, family members, and the Santa Barbara community.
